Hi friends,
I’ve been dying to write with podcast and book recommendations and thoughts about this wild time we’re living in, but that’ll have to wait as I fly to the Rio Grande Valley tomorrow morning and I’ve still got to pack!
After a dreamy visit to Davidson College, where I took four pages of notes as professor, poet, and cartoonist Alan Michael Parker brilliantly lectured on Country of Under in his Contemporary American Fiction seminar, discussed COU with deeply thoughtful students who’d highlighted the heck out of the book, and read with stellar poet Caroline Harper New, I’m headed to the Texican border, where Country of Under begins.
Since my last Substack, I added San Antonio to the tour and updated some of the event times. So hope to see your beautiful faces soon!
